Continuing their prior success mining coal, the Potter brothers formed Eagle Creek Mining LLC in 2004. Eagle Creek provides equipment, labor and mine management for surface mining on a contract basis for large coal producers in Central Appalachia. Currently, Eagle Creek operates three surface mines in Southern West Virginia employing 111 people. Eagle Creek produces 1.5 million tons per year for two of the top ten coal producers in America.

Blackhawk Mining, LLC
Blackhawk Mining LLC was formed in 2010 to acquire and operate idled coal reserves, mines, preparation plant and loading facilities formerly owned by Black Diamond Mining in Floyd County, Kentucky. Blackhawk will start operations third quarter, 2010 and reach full production of 1.1 million tons per year by mid-2011. Blackhawk will operate a combination of underground continuous miner sections and contour surface mines with a high wall miner in high quality Elkhorn #1, #2, #3 and Fireclay coal seams. Production will be processed through a 900 ton-per-hour preparation plant and 120 car unit train loading facility served by CSXT Railroad at Spurlock, KY. Blackhawk Mining LLC will market 750,000 tons per year of high quality steam coal and 250-350,000 tons per year of industrial stoker/PCI coal. At full production, Blackhawk will employ 150 workers and contractors.

Hawkeye Contracting LLC was formed in 1999 to perform commercial real estate site development, pre-mine development and post-mine reclamation projects, and Local, State and Federal road and infrastructure projects. Hawkeye currently provides pre-mine and post-mining services for several major coal producers in Central Appalachia as well as its continuing commercial construction projects. Hawkeye employs 107 workers.
